I’ve shared my love for this cardigan a few times already and I’ve barely had it for a month now. As I’ve mentioned previously it was a bit of an investment piece so I’ve been trying to get my money’s worth. Luckily we’ve had a true spring this year so it has been cool enough to be able to wear it a few times so far already. Today I’m going to share a few ways to that you can style your favorite cardigans year round.
I love having pieces in my closet that I feel bring value to my wardrobe. I love things that can be styled multiple ways and are of good quality. Since the exact style I’m wearing is currently sold out, I’ve found a bunch of similar options that I think you’ll also love at a variety of price points.
When choosing a cardigan that can be worn for all seasons there are a few things to consider:
Finding the perfect cardigans can be tough. First ask yourself: is it an appropriate weight for your climate? Will it be too warm or too lightweight to wear most of the year? Admittedly, this one is a tad warm for late spring and summer but I was willing to put up with that due to how much I loved the style.
Duster cardigans are a big trend right now but you want to make sure the length is still appropriate for pairing with shorts and shorter dresses. It’s ok for the cardigan to be longer than your shorts or dress but there is a fine line before it starts to look like a bathrobe.
I personally prefer open cardigans over button down styles. I feel like they are far more versatile and easy to style. Buttons can give you more of a tailored, structured look however, they might not look as nice draped over your favorite summer dress.

These are obviously just two options but you can also layer your cardigans over sundresses and even overalls. They are a great lightweight layering piece to help you transition between seasons.
