Happy #motivationmonday everyone! Right now I’m working on studying for my Personal Trainer Certification exam. I haven’t taken a big test like that since I graduated college (in 2007) so it’s a little nerve racking to think about – wish me luck! In the mean time I decided to put what I’ve learned to use and created a program to help you get strong and lean by summer.

For the past few months my husband and I have been doing different programs and I’ve really missed my workout buddy. I love working out with him because I feel like we both push each other to be our best every day. It’s great having a spouse who shares similar goals and interests because it really helps you stay on track. If you don’t have that, find a friend or even find a virtual friend to help keep yourself accountable. I will gladly be your virtual friend 😉

As a token of my appreciation of your support, I’m sharing our current workout plan with you all for FREE! Below is phase 1 of an 8 week program that will help you get strong and lean by summer. Complete the following workouts for the next 3 weeks and then I will post the phase 2 workouts.

I’ve gotten into a good routine of doing chest on Monday, legs Tuesday, arms/shoulders Wednesday, back Thursday and then resting or doing yoga and cardio or hiking on Friday. Feel free to mix up the days as you wish.

We are about 7-8 months into our current fitness journey and have also been working out pretty regularly since high school. If it seems difficult now, I promise, it will get easier in time. Also, last week I started my very own Facebook accountability group. It will be a no judgement zone where you can get support, ask questions, share recipes, etc. Send me a request if you’d like to join!
