Happy Monday, friends! I’m super excited a whole new topic with you guys today: home decor. Believe it or not, my original college major was Interior Design. Being the immature 20 year old I was at the time, I was too impatient to ride out the limited class schedule and changed majors to Apparel Marketing and design. Needless to say, I’ve always had a passion for decorating and fashion in case you hadn’t gathered that already. In our almost 10 years of marriage, Jeremy and I have moved 7 times and our furniture has taken a beating along the way. I decided that now that the girls were a little older it was time to give our living room a makeover.
We were using a dresser as a tv stand for quite a while and our console table and coffee table had completely fallen apart so an upgrade was definitely in order. Our upholstered furniture has actually held up moderately well considering we have 2 kids and 3 dogs. However, we’d like to eventually replace that as well. We’ve been replacing things one at a time to make things more cost effective. I’m really loving the rustic vibe we’ve got going on now.
I hope you’ve all enjoyed getting a sneak peek into my new rustic living room. I love how everything is unique and eclectic but it ties together so well. Not everything is new but I was able to link up most of the items for you to shop. Our wingback chair is actually a convertible rocking chair that we used in Rylie’s nursery and it’s so comfy! I’m also in the process of redoing the girls’ rooms and creating a home office that I can’t wait to share with you.
