Memorial Day Weekend is a time to remember those who have fought for our freedom. It’s also a time for barbecues, camping and of course shopping. There are so many amazing sales going on this weekend so I had to share my favorites with you. Because this is such a popular shopping weekend, items will go fast so keep that in mind. While shopping the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale yesterday 3 items sold out before my eyes. It was a sad day 🙁
I’ve been feeling under the weather this whole week so my apologies for missing yesterday’s regularly scheduled post. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing all of the amazing Memorial Day Weekend sales with you. Since Nordstrom is my number one favorite store, I decided that their half yearly sale deserved it’s own dedicated post. This sale only comes around twice a year. It’s a great time to stock up on seasonal favorites. Their big Anniversary sale is coming up in July so mark your calendars! The Anniversary Sale is by far one of the best sales of the year. You can score amazing deals on fall fashion. Plus, if you have their credit card you can shop the sale a week early.
At the risk of sounding link a broken record, I have not been “feeling it” in the gym for quite a while now. When I first started my blog I was gung-ho on the fitness bandwagon and I don’t know when it happened but I fell off somewhere along the way. It’s taken a lot of trial and error to figure out what works for me. Today I wanted to share the weekly workout routine that has completely changed my body.
Where I live, it’s shorts season at least 75% of the year. Believe it or not before moving to Southern California I hardly ever wore shorts. Now I pretty much live in them. A while back I shared my favorite shorts styles for athletic girls like myself but there is one trend in particular I’ve been crushing on lately. I am absolutely obsessed with the “paperbag” or tie waist shorts and pants trend right now.
Yesterday we celebrated Mother’s Day and Rylie’s 5th birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth (aka Disneyland). We’ve been annual pass holders for four years now and I have loved every minute of it. We took the girls for the very first time when Brooklynn was 3 1/2 and Rylie was 1 1/2. Before then, my husband and I weren’t really the biggest Disney fans. There is something about watching the magic of Disneyland through your children’s eyes that makes it so much more special.
Ever since we got back from San Francisco I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Mr Holmes Bakehouse. So, last Saturday we decided to make a day of it and spend the day in West Hollywood at The Grove. Their pastries really are that good, you guys! The Grove is a great place for shopping and casual celebrity sitings so it’s always fun to go out there. They also have a really cool Farmer’s Market.
