The weather has been absolutely gorgeous around here for the past week or so and I’ve been loving it! We haven’t been to the beach in what feels like forever so we decided to head up to our favorite place, Santa Barbara, for the day. We spent the sitting in the sun at East Beach and then shopping along State Street. It was a beautiful day all around until our daughter started not feeling well. With all of this spring like weather, I was in the mood for some springy clothes.
Today marks my one year anniversary of blogging! I am so grateful for each and every one of you who reads my blog. I am also very proud of myself for sticking with it for a full year so far! It has been a very humbling experience and also a very rewarding one. It hasn’t always been pretty but I’ve learned so much along the way. I wanted to share with you the most important things that I wish I had known before I started this journey.
Usually I like a quick and easy minimalist makeup routine but recently I’ve been looking to glam things up a bit. I still don’t have a lot of time to spend doing my makeup nor do I want to look overly “done up”. Most of these products I do use on a daily basis but some of them I use just when I’d like to look more put together. I’ll walk you guys through my whole routine step by step.
I can’t believe that January is already almost over! It seems like just last week we were putting up our Christmas tree. Before any more time slips away from me, I wanted to take a minute and share with you my favorite trends of 2017. Many of these trends have carried over into 2018 and some can be easily restyled for several years to come.
This may come as a shock but I hate meal prepping. I hate the word “meal prep”. I can’t stand the task of “meal prepping”. And I despise eating re-heated “meal prepped” foods. I know that being in the fitness world I probably shouldn’t say that but it’s true. I do believe however, it has it’s time and it’s place. If you want to see results you have to plan ahead. Not to mention, packing your lunch everyday can also save you tons of money too! Whether you’re stuck in a rut or you just don’t know where to begin, here are 15 of my go-to healthy lunch ideas.

It doesn’t take a lot of products or gadgets to get in shape but these are some of my favorite fitness essentials that I just couldn’t live without. I just wanted to update you all and let you know that my husband and I are 3 weeks into my Fit in 45 program and are already feeling stronger. Fitness is just as much of a much of a mental game as it is physical. It isn’t always all about having the leanest physique or being able to do the most deadlifts. Sometimes it’s just about you being the strongest person you can be : mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
