The holiday season is perfect for snuggling up in cozy layers and drinking hot cocoa by the fire. Luckily our winter’s here are pretty mild because I cannot handle cold. Seeing as it’s over 80 degrees here for a solid 10 months out of the year, anything under 65 degrees feels cold to me. It’s still too warm to wear sweaters her but a good thermal top can be a great alternative. They have the same cozy texture and are great for layering.
I stumbled upon this top from Urban Outfitters and it was love at first site. I’m a sucker for a good white top and this one was no exception. It has an oversized fit which I love and it comes in 7 gorgeous colors. I may need another one too! I love that it comes pre-knotted and has a fully functioning button placket. This means you can wrap, tie and layer it any way your heart desires.
This thermal top does run a tad big but it is intended to have an oversized fit. It has dolman (also known as batwing) sleeves and a curved hemline. The sleeves are fitted and the body is loose. I’d recommend sizing down if you can. I’m wearing an XS for reference which is the smallest they had. If this top were to come in an XXS I do think that would be just a little better.
I wore it with jeans and lace up flats for shopping and running errands. You can also layer on a faux suede jacket like this one and swap your flats for peep toe booties for a dressier look or dress it down with joggers and slippers. Thermal tops are a timeless closet staple. They aren’t something that is only going to be around for this season.
