Apparently there is this silly rule that says you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day. But rules are meant to be broken, right? I absolutely love white and I will continue to be a rebel and wear it year round. Most of the time we think that white jeans should only be worn in spring and summer but there are so many fun ways to also wear them in the cooler months. And let’s get real, the only “cooler” months in Southern California are late November-February. These are just a few options I threw together but the possibilities really are endless.
I picked up a few of these lightweight cardigans from the Nordstrom sale this past July and am obsessed. After missing out on them in the past 2 years so I knew to stock up this year. I ordered camel, black and grey in this style. I also snagged this similar one by Leith. (wearing XS in all)
I have tried dozens of pairs of white jeans but Abercrombie’s are hands down the best in my opinion. My favorites are these (wearing in a 27 short – runs a tad big) and these. I also love that their jeans are almost always buy one get one 50% off or 50% off.
Transitional Style Tips
Transitioning your favorite summer clothes into fall isn’t as hard as you would think. Simply adding a lightweight cardigan or jacket can update your look for the season. Swapping out your sandals for mules, loafers or booties also helps to give you more of a “fall” look. You can also integrate things like scarves, oversized totes and neutral jewelry to help set your outfit’s tone for fall.
