Can you guys believe that Thanksgiving is in exactly 3 weeks from today? Seriously, where on earth did this year go? Wasn’t it just the 4th of July? We sort of procrastinated on doing #allthefallthings this year and crammed them all in last weekend. We took the kids to a pumpkin patch and took our annual fall family photos. I shared recently tips for choosing what to wear in your family photos, so now it’s time for the big reveal.
While I really wanted to take beachy photos, we opted for a woodsy backdrop instead. We are still about 40 miles from the coast and to be honest, there’s no way I can wake up and get ready early enough to make it there by sunrise.
I had asked you all a few weeks ago in insta-stories if I should wear black or white and (surprisingly) a majority of you voted for black. I had bought a black dress, and a black top and neither of them ended up working out. Due to time constraints, I ended up having to wear something that was already in my closet. The only new article of clothing I bought for this shoot was this dress for Brooklynn.
Unfortunately my top is old and sizing is limited but there are still a few left so hopefully you can snag one here. Rylie’s dress is also old so I’ll link a similar version for you.
My very talented neighbor shot these for us and I’m very happy with the results. There are about a million others also so choosing which shots to frame and include in our Christmas cards is going to be really tough! I’m also thinking of creating a gallery wall using these frames. I’ll definitely show you guys if I end up doing it. I’m the biggest procrastinator ever when it comes to projects around the house though so don’t hold your breath!
Thanks for checking out our fall family photos!
