This past weekend we had family coming into Bob Hope airport and wanted to hike somewhere close by before meeting them for lunch. We hit up Wildwood Canyon park in Burbank and hiked a few miles before it got too hot and was time to go. We wanted to find somewhere close by the airport, so we hit up District Pub in the NoHo Arts district of North Hollywood.
For my non-Angeleno readers NoHo = North Hollywood. Please note also that North Hollywood, Hollywood and West Hollywood are 3 completely different places although not *that* far from one another.
North Hollywood aka NoHo is a very under-rated neighborhood in my opinion. There is great culture and honestly every restaurant I’ve tried there has been amazing. I came across a few pictures from District Pub on Instagram a few weeks back and knew I had to try it. We had our dog, Lucy, with us and the kids and they were very accommodating of us all.
Being the burger fans that we are, we ordered the Early Bird and the Red Line with a side of the original fries. They have TONS of dipping sauces to choose from and we got the Chipotle Aioli and Horseradish cream. Everything was amazing and far surpassed my expectations. The brioche buns were buttery, light and fresh and the meat was cooked to medium-rare perfection. My only complaint is that I wish I had tried this place sooner. This was quite possibly the best burger I’ve ever had. To read more about my other favorite burgers here in LA, click here. Besides this amazing discovery, I have yet to find a restaurant I don’t like in North Hollywood. I’ve listed my current top 5 favorites below.
