I know I’m a little late in the month to be sharing this post, but, better late than never, right? I’ve wanted to start sharing posts like this for quite a while. For some reason or another I’ve just never gotten around to it. If you’re new to the concept of capsule wardrobes I’ll give you a quick rundown. It is basically mixing and matching a select number of your favorite pieces to give you the most outfits possible. And because I love versatility, I’m sharing my classic neutral fall capsule wardrobe with you. Depending on what you all think, I might make this a recurring series here on the blog.
For this fall capsule wardrobe, I have created 24 unique looks using only 13 pieces. Note: jewelry and accessories not included. I recently received a comment on one of my Instagram photos asking if I ever wore the same thing twice. That question really struck a cord with me. For the sake of being 100% transparent with you, I do wear the same outfits over and over again. Sometimes even too often (oops! #momlife) At the same time, you guys would probably get tired of seeing photos of the same outfit time and time again. I am working on trying to be more creative in my photography so stay tuned for that as well.
What is included in my fall capsule wardrobe?
- dark wash denim
- black denim
- printed skirt
- solid v-neck tee
- crew neck striped tee
- windowpane plaid collared shirt
- cowl neck sweater
Outerwear and 2nd Layers
- cashmere vest
- leather jacket
- flat loafers
Total: 13 pieces = 25 outfits for any occasion
Quite a few of these items were featured in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and are luckily still available. I actually missed this vest and this jacket during the sale but think they’re definitely worth full price and am so glad I grabbed them. I also love these tees (and for $17 full price, they’re worth stocking up on) and this dress (which comes in every color imaginable). Unfortunately my booties are no longer on sale but again, they’re definitely well worth full price in my book. They’re all great neutral basics that make great additions to my fall capsule wardrobe.
I really hope you all enjoyed this post and if so please let me know. Your feedback is what keeps me motivated and inspired to create new posts. Thanks so much for reading!
