Yesterday I took the girls to the library and when we checked out our books, the return date was the day after they go back to school. It seems like not too long ago I was writing last year’s back to school post. That made me realize that summer break is quickly coming to an end. Being a work from home mom is no joke folks! I’m ready for us to be back into a regular routine again. I have already started shopping for school clothes 🙂 Today I’m sharing some affordable back to school styles that I think your kids will love too.
I recently discovered Cotton On Kids and absolutely love their clothes. They have trendy and adorable styles at reasonable prices and the quality is great too. In fact, the girls got some birthday money from their grandmas this year and this is where they chose to spend it.
Rylie also just started wearing these glasses (literally today) so we are also trying to get her used to them over these next few weeks. Brooklynn has had glasses since she was 2 1/2 so this definitely isn’t our first rodeo.
I didn’t go too crazy with shopping these year but Cotton On usually has great sales on their dresses and tee shirts so I let them each get a few. I also grabbed a few more pairs of shorts for Brooklynn at Target and handed the ones that were too small for her down to Rylie. Target shorts seem to fit my girls best and they’re cheap too so it’s a win/win.
One area I typically don’t like to scrimp on is shoes. I found these at Walmart for under $15 and had to grab them though. Our school doesn’t allow open toe shoes so these will be great for adding into the mix. I also love Vans for the girls because they can take some serious abuse. Affordable back to school shopping is possible! We were able to spruce up both girl’s closets for under $150 which is pretty good if you ask me.
Cheers to a smooth and easy transition back to school! Thanks so much for stopping by!
