The girls go back to school next week and before I know it, it will be Halloween. I don’t know why but it seems like after the 4th of July, the days fly by in double time. In reality, we don’t have much of a fall season here in Southern California. I usually wear fall shoes with summer outfits and summer clothes in fall colors to help get me into the spirit instead. That’s why today I’m sharing 6 shoes to transition into fall from one of my favorite brands, Steve Madden.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Steve Madden shoes for as long as I can remember. I also remember the very first pair I owned back in 7th grade. They are great quality and they always have fun and trendy styles at an approachable price point. In general, I do feel that their shoes run about a 1/2 size small so I always go up from my usual 7.5 to an 8 in Steve Madden shoes. I will give specific sizing info under each style though.
I actually snagged these last fall and love them. They run about a 1/2 size small but if you plan to wear a sock liner, go up a full size. You can’t wear a regular sock due to the slits. The wedge is subtle and not over the top and they a great casual, comfortable option to transition into fall.
I picked these up late last fall and they were hands down my most worn shoe. They are so comfortable and great for walking and standing in for long periods of time. There are not many flats I can say that about. They come in tons of prints and solids but I love the leopard. I sized up from 7 1/2 to 8 in these.
If you haven’t noticed by now, I have a thing for leopard print. These come in 2 other color ways but I am partial to leopard. They have a small platform but are super comfortable and easy to walk in. They’re great for all seasons but I think they’ll be particularly great to transition into fall. I sized up 1 whole size in these as they run a bit narrow and to accommodate for a sock.
These booties were one of my favorites this past winter. I love the cutout details and pointed toes. I feel that they give the illusion of longer, leaner legs which is always a plus for short girls like me. These come in 3 colors but I feel like the cognac suede is the most classic and versatile. I recommend going up 1/2 size in these for width but if you have a narrow foot stay true to size. Due to the cutouts it’s not really possible to wear a sock with them.
These are another great shoe to transition into fall because they are neutral enough to go with any outfit and look great with jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses. These are a flatform style wedge and they are the most comfortable shoes ever. I sized up 1/2 in these because I feel that they are pretty narrow and can wear them all day long walking around the city with no issues.
This style is an identical dupe for the Vince Camuto Gigietta bootie that sold out in under 30 minutes from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They have the same quality and come in the same colors plus a leopard version which is super cute. I think the snake print is super fun for fall.
